“There is enough reduction to largely if not completely mask the underlying fruit but not the wood treatment. There is terrific punch to the beautifully delineated and muscular medium-bodied flavors that possess a polished mouthfeel, all wrapped in a youthfully austere and sneaky long finish. This isn't quite as rich as the Charmes but it's attractive in its fashion and I suspect that the nose will clean up with a few years of aging.”
