The 2017 Saumur Rouge La Charpentrie is perfectly ripe and intense on the nose that intertwines dark berry (black cassis) with floral notes. Pure, fresh and elegant on the palate, this is an intense, tight and tensioned Cabernet with firm but fine tannins and lingering salinity. This is a fresh and stimulating Saumur with a wonderfully dry and "gastronomic" finish. 12.5% alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in September 2021.
