This year the wine comes from two additional plots from Domaine Pernot, Petit Nosroyes and Boudrières plus existing Belicard vines. The mix gives a good balance of ages and styles. Pale lemon yellow. The bouquet is a little fresher without as much oak influence though still with 20% new wood. I like the persistence across the palate, still quite a thick texture though with an attractive streak of acidity through the middle. Notably more persistent than the Meursault.

The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Village has a crisp, green apple and freshly sliced Nashi pear scented nose that springs from the glass. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, a little waxy in texture with good depth on the finish. This is a classy Puligny Village.
