"From the upper part of Champeaux, in the little quarries, on the rock. These are 70 to 80-year-old vines so made with pedicel. Worked by horse, as there is no tractor access. A rich glowing purple. A touch of white pepper on top of the intense dark red berry fruit. Strict, firm yet very intense, such a vast weight of luscious fruit, a good balancing acidity and tannins which are perfectly refined, silky. This has the extra to caress the throat."
