"The Moreau family have farmed here for generations, and Benoît himself converted this site to organics. Specifically, this wine comes from a tiny tranche of 60-year-old vines in the northern section of the vineyard (near Les Vergers), where the soils are less marked by the red clay often typical of this cru. Instead, there is a strong presence of limestone, resulting in a deep yet mineral expression. Even in a potentially generous vintage like 2022, only one barrel was made, which is why it has not been reviewed (Benoît does not show it). A wine, then, for those in the know! "
