A deep, brooding, dark and spicy pinot whose tight-fisted layers of flavour will take time to unfold. It's scented with an ethereal bouquet of cherries, plums and meaty undertones backed by rose petals, cinnamon and cherry kernels, while its palate is long, profoundly concentrated and very savoury, with layers of dark cherries, duck confit and a meaty smallgoods aspect. Underpinned by fine, powdery tannins, it finishes with a hint of dried herb and prune.(18.0/93, drink 2015-2019) Jeremy Oliver
