"Open-fermented before being sent to all-French oak, 50% new, for 18 months. Medium to full-bodied with blackcurrant, peppercorn, dark chocolate and smoky oak flavours swanning through the palate. There's a sizeable swell of tannin, but the fruit has set up the spinnaker and sails on regardless. It's quite a wine. It makes power and elegance look like the most natural of partners."
