"Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes – in the case of this 2019 vintage, fruit was picked around 6 to 7 days earlier than for the traditional reds. Base wine fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16 °C. Second fermentation in bottle in the historic cellars at Conterno Nervi in the heart of Gattinara. Fresh red berries, balsamic and rose petals on the nose followed by a complex palate of similar notes and also some saline mineral nuance. The wine is housed in a frame with some serious structure including, as expected with Neb, a piercing line of acidity that drives a palate that is both powerful and subtle."
