"Pinot Noir from vines planted from 1958 through to 1988. This plot faces north west and is made of of clay, limestone and marne. 100% whole bunch. Three day cold soak, followed by semi-carbonic maceration, with a little punching down afterwards for extraction. Aged in 228L seasoned barrels for 12 months. Settled in tank for a further 6 months. Not fined or filtered.
Beautiful vibrant and transparent colour. Red roses and soft raspberry lollies – not sweet hard candy, but gentle and rather nostalgic. Supple and moreish, red fruited and summery. Strawberries and spice, with a touch of raspberry. Plenty of depth with savoury notes from the stems."
