Despite the comparative opulence, this screams Sonnenuhr on the nose, with racy notes of white flowers, spices and pineapple driven fruits. Only the slight touch of yellow peach and the intensity on the palate give away the richness of the vintage. The feel on the palate is smooth and very tactile, despite a racy underlying acidity and some firm CO2. The finish is light and refined. In many ways, this behaves like a light Auslese from the 1994 vintage. The finish is delicately creamy.
