Balnarring Pinot Noir is a blend of the three sites Lodestone, Hommage and Garamond. This release spent 20 months in French oak. 350 dozen made.
It’s a complex, powerful release. Imposing, almost. Herbs, meat, macerated cherries, spices aplenty. It feels murky, in a good way, but it looks clear. It has a firmness, an autumnal aspect, a sense of brood. I was much enamoured.
