It’s a Riesling you want to drink a lot of right now, but you know you’ve got a winner in the cellar anyway. Perfume is deadset unreal – smells mineral charged to the hilt, crushed slate, flint, wet pebbles, granite, with whiffs of honeysuckle and citrus blossom floral things around it. The palate is tingly with tonic water sour-sweetness, bitter botanicals and citrus, with a trickle of mineral water-like minerality. It’s pretty relaxed in the palate, spreads softly in a washy flow, yet has a light crunch to texture too. Lovely stuff. Drink 2015-2025.
