A deft application of wood allows the very fresh and markedly earthy nose to express clearly its aromas of assorted red berries and plum that exhibit background nuances of, tea floral and sauvage hints. There is a lovely sense of energy to the intense and sleekly muscular medium weight flavors that possess focused power on the solidly complex, mineral-inflected and persistent finish where a hint of bitter cherry arises. This moderately robust effort should age well yet be inviting after only 5 years or so of bottle age.
