"Grown on 1984-planted vines from high up in Forest Range (500–600m). Matured in 15% new oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The word 'mineral' should be used sparingly, if at all, in the description of wine but if ever it was to be employed it would be for this. It has that special quality. It's a textural wine, intricate, threaded with leaf and woodsy spice, juiced courtesy of red and black cherries. It has ultrafine tannin and a ripple to its length. Every sip of this wine feels like more than a drink; it feels like an investigation."
