A more deeply pitched and notably more complex nose that offers up notes of red and dark berries, sauvage nuances, underbrush and a hint of spice, all trimmed in just enough oak to notice. There is very solid mid-palate concentration to the larger-scaled flavors that possess an admirable amount of structure-buffering dry extract before culminating in an energetic, balanced, complex and impressively long finish that displays only mild rusticity. This is excellent, indeed it's one the better vintages that I have seen for this wine. Recommended. Drink 2021+.
