Deep red-ruby. Superripe, soil-driven aromas of smoke, licorice, pepper, herbs and spices. Lush, saline and very pure, with a hint of chocolate not apparent in the Corton or the Gevrey grand crus. This layered, tactile wine saturates the entire palate. Finishes ripe and extremely long, with lovely floral lift. Superb.
