“While there is also a trace of wood framing the ultra-spicy, pure and airy aromas of assorted dark berries and floral scents, it is much more subtle. There is excellent volume to the opulent and extract-rich flavors that possess a robust muscularity though not to the point of rusticity on the impressively persistent finish where the wood telegraphed by the nose resurfaces. Though it will require a few years to fully integrate the wood treatment I do not have the same concerns here that I do with the Reignots. By the way, note well that this is quite firmly structured and will need all of 15 years to realize its full potential. Outstanding. 92-94 Points/Drink 2028+” – Allen Meadows, Burghound
“Scented and savoury. A great whack of fruit on the front palate is almost bloody in its intensity and savour. Serious wine but not, like some earlier vintages, over-extracted. Distinctive. Chestnut notes. Long. Vibrant. 18/20 Points/Drink 2020-2035.” – Jancis Robinson
