"There is just enough wood present to mention but not so much as to materially detract from the attractively fresh, cool, pretty and very spicy red berry, earth, humus, anise and rose petal-scented aromas. The refined yet quite powerful middle weight flavors are almost painfully intense and there is so much minerality the mouthfeel is akin to rolling small stones around in your mouth particularly so on the sappy, palate coating and gorgeously long finish. This built-to-age and classy effort is seriously impressive as the only nit of any consequence is a touch of warmth. Note well though that if you wish to experience it at its peak, it's going to require considerable patience." - Tasted March 2019
