A more deeply pitched nose is spicier still with its markedly earthy red currant, plum and violet-scented aromas. There is both good punch and detail to the slightly bigger and more powerful yet still attractively elegant flavors that, like many of the wines in the range, tighten up substantially on the dusty finish where once again a hint of bitter cherry surfaces. Outstanding.
