The 2010 release is a blend Cabernet Sauvignon (77%), Merlot (10%), Petit Verdot (6%), Malbec (4%) and Cabernet Franc. It sees 19 months in French oak, about half of which is new.
It’s medium-bodied but strictly tannic. It’s a youngster with its whole life ahead of it. Bay leaves, grainy gravelly notes, blackcurrant and dry, crushed spices. It carries all of brightness, darkness and reserve. There’s nothing flamboyant about this but everything is in precise good place. Drink 2018-2028.
