So good, so far these 2010 vintage Wendouree wines.
Oh those tannins, you just don’t get ’em like that much in this county. Dark fruit, iron, mint/aniseed, pencils, perhaps a little panforte. It’s only medium bodied but the strength and control, the mouth-feel and the firm fine graphite tannin, clean acid balance and dryness of it is just so damned impressive. Superb balance and length. Structurally up with top Bordeaux, I reckon, yet uniquely Australian. Beautifully and sensitively made. A great wine.
