"The 2022 Cabernet Malbec is minty and herbal on the nose, underpinned by a cavalcade of red fruit and bramble. If you let the wine sit in the glass without swirling, the minty/leafy nuances rise to the fore. If you give it some movement and air, the red fruits are released; I have paid attention to both aspects of the experience. In the mouth, the wine is layered with forest floor and autumn leaves, gritty, earthy tannins and even a sway of density and heft through the back palate. The tannins are supreme—pliable, malleable and ductile, dry and yet not drying. In fact, they may be the highlight when I place all my focus and attention on them. The structure here is a thing of great beauty and one that will evolve and soften given time. This is a superstar."
