BODEGA CHACRA

Bodega Chacra was created by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta in 2004 at Mainqué in the Río Negro region of Patagonia, Argentina.

The biodynamic estate is built around a previously abandoned vineyard planted in 1932 (Treinta y Dos) with ungrafted pre-phylloxera Pinot Noir, augmented by adjacent plantings from 1955 (Cincuenta y Cinco).

The Chardonnays are produced in partnership with esteemed Meursault winemaker Jean-Marc Roulot

The wines are highly acclaimed often being awarded near perfect scores.

Wow. This is really complex, with sliced apples, lemons, flint, stones and a hint of limes on the nose. It’s floral and aromatic with white flowers. Long, long finish. Complex and thoughtful.

The aromas of this red are rather endless, with rose petals, rose stems, strawberries, sliced oranges, crabapples and hints of white pepper and peaches. Medium-bodied with depth of fruit. intensity and crushed stone flavors. Linear, racy and vibrant, with brightness and energetic length. From vineyards planted in 1932.

Piero Incisa della Rocchetta is the grandson of Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, creator of Sassacaia, the iconic Super-Tuscan.

Jean-Marc Roulot is considered one the the worlds best winemarkers. His Burgundy chardonnay's are highly acclaimed, hard to find, and priced accordingly.
