About the producer
Antoine Foucault is part of one of the Loire's most extraordinary winemaking families, working alongside his father Charly and uncle Nady at Clos Rougeard before striking out on his own in 1999, aged 26, to build something of his own on the limestone hillsides of Brézé. We've secured a small allocation of his 2022s, across four wines, in volumes as tight as six bottles.
Domaine du Collier makes Blanc and Rouge beautifully: old-vine Chenin Blanc from stony, limestone soils, and structured, age-worthy Cabernet Franc from the estate's lieu-dit parcels, La Ripaille and La Charpentrie. 2022 was a hot, dry vintage across the Loire, yet these wines have answered with Foucault's signature freshness and precision across the board. Early critic scores are outstanding.
