Chris Catlow, a native of Beechworth, is the winemaker behind Sentio Wines and is widely regarded for his work with Chardonnay. After studying viticulture and oenology, and gaining experience in Burgundy and the Mornington Peninsula, Catlow returned to northeast Victoria with a focus on producing wines that reflect their origins and reward careful attention. Sentio is known for small-batch Chardonnays that combine finesse and depth, shaped by whole-bunch pressing, indigenous fermentation, extended lees contact, and subtle use of French oak. The wines are precise and textural, appealing to those who appreciate balance and longevity.
