With many vintages to their name, Lethbridge have established themselves as one of the premier makers of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the Geelong region. Both Ray Naderson and Maree Collis came from science backgrounds holding PhD's in chemistry and medicine respectively, but ultimately their shared passion for wine led them to wine and we are all better off for it.

2019 Lethbridge Chardonnay

A savoury, mealy style of chardonnay, a nice contrast to the top-tier Allegra. Plenty of barrel ferment complexity, together with almond, nougat, pear and lovely spiciness. Melds beautifully on the palate with quince, grilled nuts and mandarin rind. Harmonious oak. Quite the complex number for a wine so young.

2019 Lethbridge Pinot Noir

Ray Nadeson writes some of the most lyrical wine labels going. His hope with this wine is to reveal tannins that feel 'like you are melting into a soft cushion'. Well, they are certainly supple. A big proponent of whole-bunch fermentation, his '19 is striking in its structure and force of personality, with an imposing herbal imprint, chocolate cherry and red berries. Balance of oak/fruit/tannin is impressive, but the sustained length is that and more.
