From 11 rows of Mendoza clone fruit right at the top of the slope. The wind ensures the bunches are small and concentrated (50g per bunch rather than the 100g from fruit further down the slope). Super concentrated with an almost tobacco leaf character. Rich and dense but tightly wound. The phenolics give a lovely gentle chalky texture. Could almost be Roussanne with its savoury dried apple skin flavours and faint nutty edge. For all the richness there's a really succulent spine of acidity. Needs longer. Drink from 2028-2035.
