“The 2023 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett Alte Reben is from the Onnartz plot above the Prälat and next to the Herzlei from roughly 110-year-old vines cultivated on gray and blue slate. Vinified in stainless steel and an old fuder cask, the wine is clear, refined and floral on the intense and concentrated nose that represents fully ripe and healthy fruits with a touch of dark caramel. Round and savory on the palate, this is a textured yet stimulating saline and crunchy-slatey Kabinett with a long, intense and stimulating finish. Picked at the end of September at about 80° Oechsle, this is a young but promising Riesling Kabinett. 8% stated alcohol. Natural cork”
