"Just like what happened in 2017, the frost in 2021 decimated the white grapes, so all the Savagnin will be blended into a single cuvée. I don't know if it's going to be called 2021 Les Rescapés once it's bottled, but it contains all the grapes from the different terroirs they could save. It's a wine like those from 20 years ago, made with different lots and with 10% to11% alcohol and high acidity. It's austere, fresh, sharp, mineral and serious. 2021 was great for whites, but the wines are super scarce! There's also a blend of Savagnins from 2019 that was still in barrel that might (or might not) be another vintage for this cuvée."
