"A red from a terroir already proven great for Chardonnay, the 2023 Les Grands Teppes Pinot Noir comes from vines planted ungrafted in 2006. The wine, still very young and of course unbottled, was aging in amphora, which they feel is the right material for the soil, which is red marl with limestone on the surface. The wine has varietal character, with more weight than the Poulsard and more elegance than the Trousseau. This is very impressive for the very young vines."
