Sourced from climats north of the town, Chouillet, Charmottes and Argillats, in a commune that gave the Cote de Nuits its name and, in 1934, gave Burgundy its Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. Fully destemmed, open-vat fermentation with native yeasts, 15 to 18 months in barrel, no more than 20 percent new oak. Juicy and forward-drinking, with the approachability that marks the best village wines of the vintage.
