"We missed this magical cuvée last year, and I am sure, given the 2021 conditions, we all expected it to be the most breathtaking of all. And yet, we are given solace with this otherworldly 2022 Malbec. Aromatically, the wine leads with all manner of red things: garden roses and rooibos, gum nuts and pink peppercorns. It's got a minty inflection too. In the mouth, the wine slinks across the palate with pure seamlessness and sandy tannins. This is fine, verging on the essence of Pinot Noir, with flow and balance in profusion. It is easily one of the best varietal Malbecs from anywhere on the planet, and I'd love to be proven wrong on that—I bet it's not possible. It has grace, mellifluousness and unbroken equilibrium. There is just pure pleasure here—no other word for it. Perhaps "ethereal" gets close."
