A very bright and brambly nose with raspberry and blackberry, as well as some cassis aromas. I like the purity and freshness here. The palate has plenty of smooth-toned, fleshy raspberry and some darker-fruit flavors, too. Very vibrant finish, holding super fresh. From 1960s plantings, fermented as 20% whole clusters. Drink over the next seven years. Screw cap

Cherry pie, raspberry, hazelnuts, spice and dried flower perfume. Medium-bodied, beautiful emery tannin, a distinctly ‘mineral’ feel to this wine, flavoursome yet trim, long cool finish, layers of tannin, spice and perfume trailing. Outstanding.
