Here too there is just enough wood to remark upon serving as a backdrop for the more deeply pitched aromas of plum, dark raspberry and warm earth scents. The round but muscular middle weight flavors are once again supple on the mid-palate before tightening up on the bigger, richer, more powerful and importantly, more complex finish. This dusty and delicious effort should also reward up to a decade of cellaring.
