The precise, chalky bouquet opens nicely in the glass, traces of apple blossom and orange pith neatly integrated with the 20% new oak. The palate is well balanced, with a creamy-textured opening. The wood influence is quite pronounced at the moment, but it seems simpatico with the passion fruit and pineapple lacing the seductive finish. This will be difficult to resist once bottled. Enjoy over the next four or five years.
