Here the reduction is strong enough to completely mask the fruit and render the nose unreadable. On the plus side the middle weight flavors are finer and sleeker than those of the Chaignots with more evident minerality as well on the impressively complex and well-balanced finish. Interestingly though the supporting tannins are not as fine as those of the Chaignots and overall this is clearly more Nuits than Vosne in basic character. Sweet spot, outstanding.
