"It’s hard to not be drawn to Burgundy parallels, and whilst this wine doesn’t taste like a French one, when you start putting down aromatic and palate notes you do find yourself writing things that might just as easily be applied to something from a top producer working in a similar way, somewhere between Vosne and Chambolle.

Bursting out of the glass as wines from bio-dynamic regimes often do, the nose is a vibrant amalgam of crushed violets, strawberry compote, autumnal leafy notes and some quite savoury almost spicy characters. On the palate the first impression is a textural thing, it really slinks its’ way across the mouth.

Then there’s real depth and drive, revolving a core of utterly pure fruit, and the finish is, well, really bloody long, that’s what it is. And it has that hallmark that all great wines do, it’s perfectly balanced already. But I can’t wait to open a bottle in 10 years…" Patrick Walsh, Cellarhand

"Burn baby burn. Tried this a couple of times, and I liked it better outside the constraints of ‘formal tasting’. Ripe, full of cherry and spice, dusting of dried herb perfume, almost a sort of pan juices savoury character. Medium bodied, with a slight youthful jaminess to the clear red berry fruits, but there’s heaps of that elusive ‘mineral’ character in there. Finish is impressive with firmish tannin to close. Stylish. Still a baby. 94 Points" - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
