"Blackcurrant, red jubes, lavender and eucalyptus perfume, aniseed and cedar. Medium bodied, stern and a little stalky, with a firm almost gummy sweep of tannin, bright red and black fruit, and very long straight finish that’s littered with leaf. Super structure and shape. Serious wine. It’s certainly Wendouree in full regalia, and whether that’s too much or just right is a matter of taste. Will cellar grandly, of course."
